Heroes

For representing such a tiny portion of the world’s population, the Jewish community holds a mighty impressive track record of community service. The list of Jewish service “heroes” is long and storied, spanning across history from the earliest biblical times through to today’s bnai mitzvah students who choose to donate their gift money to communities in need.
This section of the Knowledgebase will serve as the go-to spot to read up on leaders in Jewish service from the past and present… eventually. Until then, you can check back each week on Repair the World’s blog for a new profile on a Jewish service hero – folks who are changing their communities and the world for the better, or who left things a bit better than they found them. Get ready to be inspired.
