REPAIR THE WORLD MOISHE HOUSE PARTNERSHIP

Repair the World Moishe Houses combine Moishe House’s communal living model, with social action. Repair the World Moise House

  • Residents of Moishe House East Bay planned and organized the Matanot toy drive to benefit the children at King Elementary, a school in an especially needy part of the local community. The residents gathered over 100 toy donations, held a present wrapping party, and discussed the significance of the tradition to give gifts to children for Chanukah. Two days later, three of the residents went to the school to distribute gifts and talk to the kids and families. It was a great success and valuable lesson for future service opportunities!
  • Moishe House Vancouver has established a strong ongoing direct service program “Muslim-Jewish Feed the Hungry,” where Jewish and Muslim volunteers serve over 300 meals at First United Church, an interfaith center, homeless shelter, and community-gathering place in Downtown Eastside.
  • And much, much more…
