Ryan (he/him) is thrilled to contribute to Repair the World’s sustainability and growth through the power of storytelling and relationship building. He took the scenic route to the nonprofit world, working first as a newspaper editor and then as a marketing copywriter. Volunteering as an English teacher for refugees and immigrants inspired Ryan to pursue a new career path, one that would leverage both his strategic communications skills and his passion for equity and justice. This call to serve led him to NYU’s Wagner Graduate School of Public Service — where he earned a master’s in nonprofit management — and ultimately to Repair the World.
Speaking of scenic routes, Ryan enjoys traveling, hiking, playing disc golf, and taking long walks with his wife, daughter, and pup in their South Orange, NJ, neighborhood. He’s a native Texan (howdy!), a non-native Spanish-speaker (¡hola!), and did his undergrad at the University of Oklahoma (Boomer Sooner!).
