51 inches of rain.
Over 150,000 homes flooded, including more than 2,000 of Houston’s 26,000 Jewish households.
3 months have now passed, and tens of thousands of Houstonians remain in temporary housing.
The ongoing financial and emotional strains on families is mounting. Together, we can ACT NOW for Houston.

A partnership between Repair the World and The Jewish Federation of Greater HoustonACT NOW for Houston will mobilize thousands of volunteers to aid some of the most vulnerable and underserved communities in the city. Working alongside local organizations, volunteers will: remove damaged household items and sanitize homes; package food and deliver essentials to the elderly or homebound; work with school communities to help children cope with the ongoing emotional trauma related to the storm; assist local communities in navigating available resources; and support the rebuild process so that families are able to get back on their feet.

ACT NOW for Houston engages both local volunteers and those interested in traveling to Houston to serve. There are multiple ways to get involved. Please fill out the form above if you:
1. Live in or near Houston and want to serve.
2. Live outside of Houston and want to organize a group trip to serve.
3. Want to get involved but don’t know how.

Subsidies are available to make your presence possible.
