Colorado Program Manager


Repair the World mobilizes Jews and their communities to take action to pursue a just world. Repair the World operates direct programs in 13 communities across the country, including a full-time Fellowship, part-time Service Corps, and episodic service and learning opportunities to engage the broader community. Repair the World Colorado launched in 2020 as part of a broad initiative called Serve the Moment. Repair the World Colorado has had an incredible first year launching the semester-based part-time service corps and engaging hundreds of young jews and their communities throughout Denver, Boulder, and the surrounding area in meaningful service and learning through a Jewish lens.

Position Overview

Repair is looking for a dynamic Program Manager to lead and develop service learning opportunities, training, and programming in Colorado. The position includes building partnerships with local Jewish, social justice, and service organizations; overseeing stipended Corps Members during their 1-3 month service placements; and planning 1-4 service opportunities per month in Corps Members volunteer in-person with local service partners working to combat the lasting economic and social effects of the pandemic in Boulder, Denver, and the surrounding area.

This full time exempt position will report to Repair’s Service Corps Director, work collaboratively and closely with local partners, and is based in Boulder or Denver, CO. 

Position Responsibilities 

  • Recruit and oversee day to day operations of 2 cohorts of 10-20 Corps Members per year (Fall and Spring) with the goal of Corps Members connecting with service partners and meeting Corps service goals. 
  • Identify, build, and sustain relationships with local Jewish organizations, civic and nonprofit partners for the purpose of creating, Corps Member placements, episodic service, and national campaigns.
  • Plan and execute 1-4 volunteering and service learning programs per month in collaboration with the national program team, supporting national issue area campaigns (eg. food insecurity); enact a robust and strategic calendar of programming, including service opportunities that match the needs of service partners and the target audience.
  • In collaboration with Repair’s national team, coordinate and facilitate weekly learning for Corps Members around issues of systemic injustice, Jewish values, volunteer mobilization, and management. 
  • Support the development team’s local fundraising by sharing stories, collaborating on events/site visits with stakeholders, identifying local lay leaders, and taking part in discussions around local fundraising.

Position Requirements and Skills

  • 3+ years of volunteer management or team leadership experience; demonstrated success with building relationships and coaching young adults and people with diverse backgrounds and experiences.
  • Clear understanding of how to create long-term professional relationships; ideal candidate is already involved in the Jewish, service, and/or social justice community in Colorado.
  • Skilled in networking and building up relationships with the intent of creating a pipeline of Jewish young adults, excited to serve in our programs.
  • Strong self-management & organization skills; ability to work independently as Repair’s only staff person in the region.
  • Sophisticated awareness of poverty, structural racism, power and privilege and ability to facilitate conversations around these issues with diverse groups in ways that empower and open people to learning.
  • Experience with service event management and/or leading service-learning conversations.

Compensation at Repair the World is determined based on the salary band for the role and adjusted based on the cost of living for the location.  For candidates with 3+ years of experience, the starting salary for this role is $55,000. Benefits package includes paid time off for service in addition to vacation and holidays; employer pays 100% for employee medical/dental/vision coverage and 50% for dependents; retirement matching, and professional development funds.  In addition, employees that have been with Repair for at least six months are eligible for 16 weeks of paid parental leave.
