Boston Summer Teen Service Corps 2024

Join Repair the World’s Summer Teen Service Corps—a 3 week service, learning, and leadership program designed for rising 8th-12th graders in Boston. The Summer Teen Service Corps is a group of teens committed to repairing the world by volunteering at local non-profits and learning about the intersection of key social justice issues.  

Repair the World mobilizes Jews and their communities to take action and pursue a just world. Teens of any or no faith are welcome to apply for and participate in the Teen Service Corps.

Learn, Explore, and Serve This Summer

Each session runs for three weeks, Monday-Thursday. Each day runs from 10:00 AM until 3:00 PM. The final week extends to Friday for a special Shabbat activity and dinner.

 

  • Session 1: CANCELED 

 

  • Session 2: July 22nd – August 9th

Week 1: Monday, July 22nd – Thursday, July 25th

Week 2: Monday, July 29th – Thursday, August 1st

Week 3: Monday, August 5th – Friday, August 9th

Fee per 3-week session if you apply before June 15th: $250-$375

Fee per 3-week session: $500 – 750 sliding scale.

If you have the financial capacity, we ask that you pay $750 or more, in order to help ensure that we can continue to offer financial assistance to those who request it.

Each session will explore the intersection between three key areas of justice relevant to the Boston community.

 

Session 1 covers:

  • Gender Justice
  • Food Justice
  • Housing Justice

Session 2 covers:

  • Immigration Justice
  • Food Justice
  • Housing Justice

10am-12:30pm  Serve at a local partner
12:30-1pm  Travel to afternoon learning location
1-1:30pm  Lunch
1:30-2:30pm  Food Justice Speakers Panel
2:30-3pm  Discussion: Food Justice Through the Seven Species
