Service brings us together to tackle society’s greatest challenges, build stronger communities, and be a force that transforms the world. Jewish tradition reminds us that a person is commanded to work towards justice, tzedek, by working to build a just, complete world. We serve alongside our communities in pursuit of a just society while seeking to create meaningful and lasting change. Join us.

We’re thrilled to partner with Miracle Messages to provide a fully virtual opportunity that enables you to make a huge impact in the life of someone experiencing homelessness. Miracle Messages has a ‘phone buddy’ program that matches volunteers with individuals isolated by homelessness for weekly phone calls and text messages to provide companionship and social support. After a brief info session and training (offered every Wednesday), you will be set up with a separate and secure phone number that will allow you to keep in touch with your buddy throughout the week. Join us on June 3rd for a community hike with Ma'alot! This event is perfect for those who are looking to get in touch with nature, connect with the community and get some exercise in. We will be exploring the East Palisades Trail system starting from Whitewater Creek Trailhead that features a nice view of the river and a bamboo forest. The hike will cover a distance of 3.9 miles and an elevation gain of 492 feet and as such it's considered a moderately challenging route. We would love to have everyone join us on this hike, provided they are confident in their ability to keep up with the group (we will keep a slow to moderate pace). Note that this is a National Park Service Trail so there is a $5 Parking Fee. We look forward to seeing you there!
