Today’s the day! We made it past Thanksgiving’s delicious food coma and beyond the consumer haze of Black Friday, Small Business Saturday, and Cyber Monday. Now is the day we’ve all been waiting for, #GivingTuesday: 24 hours exclusively set aside for giving back.

According to an NPR article, people give in all sorts of ways on Giving Tuesday, from donating volunteer hours to sharing stories about giving. Join them! Now is your opportunity to give with as much gusto as you polished off that second helping of turkey and cranberry sauce.

There are many worthy ways to offer your dollars or hours on this Giving Tuesday. Here’s one we’re particularly fond of: supporting our incredible Repair the World Fellows.

For the past three years, our social justice-focused fellowship has provided an opportunity for passionate people aged 21-26 to make real change in communities across the country from Detroit and Philadelphia to Pittsburgh, and NYC. The Fellows recruit, train, and serve alongside community volunteers to bring about real change around education justice and food justice.

We’ve got big plans to make our Fellowship even better in 2016. And to make that happen, we’re calling on you! This Giving Tuesday, take a moment to support our Indiegogo campaign. There are lots of great incentive gifts, but more importantly, your donation will directly impact the well-being of the communities where our fellows live and volunteer.

Meanwhile, if you’ve got the drive to spend a year diving deep into a community to make real change, we invite you to apply to be a 2016 Fellow! However you join in, happy Giving Tuesday – may it be the start of a season filled with joy, abundance, and giving.
