This January, host a Chicago Repair and OneTable MLK Shabbat dinner to honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s legacy while exploring the intersection of Jewish tradition and racial justice. As a host, you'll receive an exclusive MLK Shabbat guide featuring the experiences of Jews of Color and wisdom from Chicago's racial justice leaders, both past and present. You'll also receive $10 of extra Nourishment for each dinner, helping cover meal costs. Hosting offers a chance to gather community, reflect on justice, and take action in support of racial equity—all while sharing a meaningful Shabbat meal. Sign up today to participate! You will be responsible for completing host training and creating your own Shabbat event through the OneTable platform.

Join Repair the World Chicago and Base Logan Square on Wednesday, January 22 from 7:00-8:30 PM at Base LGSQ for our monthly Logan Square Sack Suppers! We will be packing vegetarian sack lunches for The Night Ministry to distribute on their Health Outreach Bus to those experiencing houselesnness. Act upon the value of kavod ha’bryiot, the preciousness of each human, as we support our local service partner in meeting the immediate needs of the unhoused community.

Join YLD, Repair the World Chicago, TOV, and OneTable for a meaningful MLK Shabbat as we honor the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. with an evening of reflection, community, and action. Together, we’ll welcome Shabbat with a festive meal, explore what it means to stand up for justice in our communities, and discuss how we can build a more equitable world. Following dinner, we'll dive into an interactive discussion on how Jewish values inspire us to pursue justice, support marginalized communities, and act in solidarity with our neighbors. To further our commitment to those in need, we’ll end the night by packing hygiene kits for The Night Ministry.
