Rendy Auguste

Senior Manager of Brand and Marketing

Rendy Auguste is a Communications and Marketing professional who works with nonprofits to grow their brand and create mission and vision driven marketing content. After spending 6 years working with nonprofits in the Washington, DC area, Rendy is back in Brooklyn, her hometown. She is passionate about elevating an organization’s voice, providing opportunities for enhanced visibility. Rendy wanted to continue working with a dynamic nonprofit that is making deeply meaningful impact in communities locally, nationally, and beyond. She is excited to instill her passion for effective communication as Brand and Marketing Manager at Repair the World. She is also excited to work with Repair the World communities to help them build connections with community members and partners. Rendy loves exploring wherever she calls home. So, you’ll find her at a museum, farmers market, coffee shop, or taking long walks through different neighborhoods. Rendy holds a Bachelors in Mass Communications from St. John’s University and a Masters in Strategic Communications from American University.

Jenny Beck

Director, Institutional Giving

Jenny Beck has spent more than 20 years in the development field, working with a wide range of nonprofit organizations dedicated to youth, education, and community well being. Her career spans institutional giving, nonprofit leadership, fundraising strategy and implementation, and over 20 years of grant writing and grant management for a wide range of community based organizations.

Jenny serves on the board of Camp Young Judaea Midwest, the summer camp that shaped her childhood and now plays a central role in her own children’s lives – it’s also where she met her husband! Her Jewish identity — and her lifelong commitment to tikun olam — took root in the hot, dusty campsites of Michigan and Wisconsin and in the youth leadership spaces she shared with fellow peers during her high school and college years. Those early experiences continue to guide her work, her values, and her belief in the power of community.

Jenny received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan (Go Blue!) and her master’s degree in education leadership from the Bank Street College of Education in New York City. She received her teaching certificate through the Teach for American program.

Outside of her professional life, Jenny loves exploring Sonoma County with her family, seeing great theatre in New York, and traveling whenever she can.

Yonah Benstein

Senior Program Associate, New York

Yonah brings extensive experience in community organizing and Jewish leadership, with a focus on engaging young people around climate justice and human rights. Prior to joining Repair the World, they worked as a research assistant on public policy issues and as an organizer with the Sunrise Movement and Green Course, helping to lead national campaigns- from advocating for fossil fuel divestment at the Hebrew University to a campaign for a Green New Deal. They have also coordinated public actions and protests and bring hands-on experience in fundraising and grassroots movement-building.

Within the Jewish community, Yonah has been a Moishe House resident in both Harlem and Park Slope, creating programs that weave together Jewish tradition, social justice, and community connection, often in collaboration with other organizations and drawing on all that NYC has to offer.

Yonah was born and raised in Jerusalem and holds a master’s degree in International Political Economy from the Hebrew University. They also find joy in cooking and hosting Shabbat meals, taking dance classes, practicing Portuguese, and exploring Brazilian music and culture.

Sheefra Blumenthal

Senior City Director, Atlanta

An experienced facilitator with a background in leadership, storytelling, and Jewish education, Sheefra Blumenthal empowers communities to engage in meaningful acts of service. She holds a degree in English Creative Writing and Spanish Literature from the University of Colorado Boulder, where her final thesis combined her love of service and storytelling. Inspired by her volunteer work at an orphanage in Peru, she produced a documentary titled Why Are They Always Sitting in the Street? alongside an original screenplay, demonstrating her commitment to understanding and addressing societal challenges through service and creative expression.

A graduate of the North American Institute of Medical Herbalism, Sheefra later served as Program Director of a Farm-to-Apothecary Apprenticeship Program in Oregon. In addition to managing the program’s day-to-day operations, she infused her passion for Jewish values by hosting weekly community Shabbat gatherings. She has continued to foster Jewish connection and education wherever she goes, bringing people together through event facilitation, workshops, and meaningful conversations rooted in Jewish tradition.

Sheefra has led group programs, workshops, and events that encourage collaboration, personal growth, and inclusivity. Her holistic approach integrates her expertise in communication, community-building, and leadership, helping individuals and organizations align with their highest potential.

Outside of her professional work, Sheefra is inspired by nature, yoga, and loves to cook. She is also passionate about Jewish mysticism and personal growth. Originally from Atlanta, Sheefra has a deep personal connection to the city and its rich history, and is excited to be contributing to its vibrant culture and community.

Lisa Bodziner

Senior Director, National Expansion Strategy

At Repair the World, Lisa enjoys wearing lots of hats in supporting the organization’s fundraising, programmatic and partnership expansion across the globe. Prior to her work at Repair, Lisa Bodziner grew up in Savannah, GA and graduated from the University of Wisconsin—Madison with a comparative religion major and Jewish studies minor. She then lived in Israel for four years where she attended the Pardes Institute of Jewish Studies and received a Master’s Degree in Jewish Education from Hebrew College. After leaving Israel, Lisa taught at the San Diego Jewish Academy then moved to Reisterstown, MD to work at the Pearlstone Center. Lisa became the Director of Educational Engagement at the Macks Center for Jewish Education and received certification in experiential Jewish education from Yeshiva University. Lisa was then the Executive Director of Towson University-Hillel from 2017-2022. Living in Savannah, GA now with her husband, two children, Dovi and Lila, and doggie, Opal, Lisa loves hosting folks for Shabbat. In her spare time, she runs a jewelry/accessory business and volunteers in her own hometown.

Tori Burstein

Chief of Staff

Tori moved to Brooklyn to work as a Repair the World fellow, where she collaborated with a variety of local partners to support schools, youth programs, and build community through volunteering. Since then she’s stayed connected to Repair the World as an alumni ambassador, where she led a giving circle for young people to redistribute their stimulus checks to bail funds and COVID19 mutual aid. After her year as a Fellow, Tori joined the team at ZogSports as their Customer Experience Associate. Her passion lies at the intersection of sports and social justice, so when she’s not watching live football games from her laptop or following athlete activists on Twitter, you can find her volunteering for PowerPlays, a newsletter about sexism in sports. Tori grew up in Miami, Florida and is a proud alumnus of the University of Florida. Go Gators!

Jessica Chait

Chief Operating Officer

Jessica Chait (she/her) is a mission-driven leader with a track record of scaling operations, building strategic partnerships, and advancing policies that drive impact. She currently serves as Chief Impact Officer for Ronald S. Lauder, advising on high-level philanthropic and strategic initiatives. Previously, Jessica served as Managing Director of Food Programs and Policy at the Metropolitan Council on Jewish Poverty, where she transformed the organization’s food initiatives into the largest free kosher food distribution program in the world. Under her leadership, the program scaled dramatically, serving over 200,000 clients per month, expanding warehouse capacity, and launching pioneering initiatives such as a mobile pantry, online ordering system, and home delivery service. Her work not only strengthened direct service operations but also elevated the visibility of kosher and halal food insecurity among policymakers nationwide. Jessica spent a decade at UJA-Federation of New York, culminating as Chief of Staff, where she directed numerous strategic planning efforts and high-profile initiatives, including UJA’s centennial celebration and campaign. At UJA, she also secured millions in funding for capital projects and Holocaust survivor programs and guided grantmaking strategies to support vulnerable populations in New York and Israel.

Beyond her professional work, Jessica is deeply engaged in civic leadership. She serves as Chair of Manhattan Community Board 4, representing Chelsea, Hudson Yards, and Hell’s Kitchen, and is on the board of Hebrew Free Loan Society and Human Services Council. Jessica is a graduate of the Columbia Business School Tamer Center for Social Enterprise’s Institute for Jewish Leadership, and holds a Master’s in Public Administration from NYU and a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Texas at Austin. She has lived and worked in Poland and Zambia, traveled to more than 70 countries, and is an avid eater, tennis player, and devoted Spurs (and newly, Knicks!) fan. She resides in Manhattan with her husband.

Jenna Cohen

Jenna Cohen (she/her) is a marketing and communications professional with a background in philanthropy, fundraising, and community engagement. Based in Chicago, Jenna has spent her career crafting stories that inspire action. She holds a master’s degree in Environment, Culture, and Communication from the University of Glasgow and a bachelor’s degree in English Literature, with a minor in Spanish, from Knox College. When she’s not working, Jenna raises her voice with the Apollo Chorus of Chicago, the prayer leadership (“Davening”) team at Mishkan Chicago, and as an active member of Citizens’ Climate Lobby.

Sarah Cort

Senior Director of Community Impact

Prior to Repair The World, Sarah’s passion for experiential education and relationship building led to a career as an overnight camp professional. She was the Summer Camps Director at McGaw YMCA Camp Echo for seven years. One highlight of Sarah’s tenure at Camp Echo is her work with families and staff to facilitate and implement the first all-gender cabins. While she spent her summers at camp, she led Taglit-Birthright Israel trips most winters, and was in the first cohort of Birthright Fellows. Prior to her role at Camp Echo, Sarah served as the Director of Education at KAM Isaiah Israel in the Hyde Park neighborhood of Chicago, where she ran the Religious and Nursery School programs. To better meet the needs of that community, she created Shoresh, a Shabbat-based experiential program, where children would attend Religious School on Friday afternoons, ending with family Shabbat services. Sarah has a degree in Early Childhood Education from Indiana University and volunteered for a year in Israel as an OTZMA Fellow, part of the Masa Israel Journey. Sarah is also on the board for Camp For All Kids, which facilitates racial diversity at overnight summer camps in the Midwest. Sarah is a St. Louis native and proud Cardinal’s baseball fan. She has been living in Chicago since 2012.

Lindsay Davidman

National Director, Major Gifts

Lindsay Davidman (she/her) is passionate about supporting Jewish nonprofits, especially those that build and connect community. For over 16 years, Lindsay has worked in a variety of fundraising roles including major gifts, planned giving, and volunteer leadership development for organizations including two Jewish Federations, DOROT, National Jewish Health, and two USA “Friends of..” organizations. Lindsay grew up in North Potomac, Maryland, spent her early adulthood in New York where she met her husband, and together they moved to the Philadelphia area in 2018 where they welcomed twin boys. She earned her undergraduate degree in Communication Studies from the University of Georgia, where she was in SDT, and a Masters Degree in Nonprofit Management from The New School. She has volunteered with countless organizations in short- and long-term engagements including Moving Traditions, the Humane Society, JFCS, AFSP, the American Cancer Society, and more, but her favorites (so far) have been walking dogs at the Athens-Clarke County Animal Shelter and serving as a chapter advisor for BBYO. Lindsay is a big fan of audiobooks, musical theater, summer camp, and baking foods that don’t have to be decorated.

Melanie Edwards

City Director, Orange County

Melanie Edwards is passionate about bringing people together through meaningful service, authentic relationships, and Jewish community building. Before joining Repair, Melanie built her career in Jewish communal organizations and nonprofit leadership, creating programs that foster connection, leadership development, and belonging. Her experience includes roles with Hillel International, Jewish Long Beach, and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Orange County, where she developed community partnerships, supervised teams, and led initiatives that connected people around a shared purpose.

Melanie earned her Master of Social Work from California State University, Long Beach, with a specialization in Integrated Health. Her clinical training in school and behavioral health settings strengthened her commitment to empathy, collaboration, and systems thinking—skills that continue to shape her approach to community leadership.

As Director of Orange County Repair, Melanie is excited to partner with local organizations, volunteers, and community members to expand opportunities for service and civic engagement across the region. She believes that service is a powerful way to build relationships, foster belonging, and strengthen communities.

In her free time, Melanie enjoys exploring new coffee shops, traveling, spending time with family and friends, and finding new ways to connect with her community.

Rian Ehrlich

City Director, Miami

Rian, a born-and-raised South Floridian, is excited to be back home, bringing her passion for community building and social impact to her role as the City Director of Miami. She has spent her career in marketing, helping to connect brands with people in meaningful ways, with experience spanning program strategy, events, and communications. Before joining Repair the World, Rian worked at Headspace, where she led initiatives to expand access to mental health resources through employer partnerships and developed strategies to drive enrollment. She also co-led ShalomSpace, Headspace’s Jewish Employee Resource Group, creating opportunities for Jewish employees to connect within the company. Now back in Miami after 11 years in NYC, Rian is eager to build relationships and foster service opportunities that strengthen the local Jewish community. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, cooking, and trying new restaurants with her husband, Ben, and their daughter, Cate.

Ari Feinstein

Interim Director, Special Projects

Ari Feinstein is a seasoned Jewish educator and collaborative leader with extensive experience in program management, organizational strategy, and systems development. He currently serves as the Interim Regional Director at Repair the World, where he supports community teams across five cities, aligning local Jewish service initiatives with national priorities. He is excited to be part of a national team working toward Repair’s ambitious goal of catalyzing one million acts of service by 2030 in pursuit of a more just world. Before joining Repair, Ari spent eight years at The iCenter, where he designed and led a wide range of professional development initiatives for Jewish and Israel educators. He was instrumental in the creation of Conflicts of Interest, a groundbreaking program that builds participants’ confidence and competence in meaningfully engaging in nuanced education about the Arab-Israeli conflict. Earlier in his career, Ari managed a civic engagement and Jewish philanthropy program for teens at the Jewish Community Federation of San Francisco. Ari holds a BA in Middle East and South Asian Studies from the University of California, Davis, and an MA in Jewish Education from Hebrew Union College. He lives in Chicago with his wife and two children, and is a proud Green Bay Packers shareholder who rarely misses a game.

Gideon Feit

Development Director

Gideon Feit (he/him) is the Development Director for the Bay Area and Chicago at Repair the World, where he builds relationships with supporters and community members who share a commitment to service and strengthening Jewish community. Gideon has spent his career working across the Clinton Foundation, NYU, the White House, Birthright Israel, and Jewish communal organizations, gaining experience in fundraising, community engagement, and service. He believes the best development work starts with getting to know people, understanding what matters to them, and finding meaningful ways for them to be part of something bigger. Service has been a constant throughout Gideon’s life, from volunteering on farms all across the globe and working on kibbutzim in Israel. Those experiences shaped his belief that showing up for others is one of the most important things we can do for our communities. Gideon is especially passionate about engaging the next generation and helping build a Jewish future that his nieces, nephews, and others can be proud to inherit. He is excited to bring that passion to Repair the World and to help more people find their own ways to get involved. Gideon lives in San Francisco and loves being outside. He spends as much time as he can camping, rock climbing, surfing, and hiking, and is always up for a new adventure.

Miranda Galaif

Miranda is a community-focused leader driven by a commitment to Tikkun Olam. With professional experience in environmental health & safety, corporate social responsibility, and community engagement, she empowers individuals and organizations to create intentional and lasting change. Miranda holds a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Data Analytics and a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies. Outside of work, Miranda enjoys yoga, reading, wildlife photography, and exploring the outdoors.

Trudy Goldshine

Director, Jewish Education

Trudy is the Director of Jewish Education at Repair the World. Prior to working for Repair the World, Trudy was a  Springboard Ezra Jewish Education Fellow at Stony Brook Hillel cultivating diversity and inclusion across religious and cultural lines. As a queer Southern Jew who studied International Politics, Trudy loves combine her two passions of Judaism and social justice in this new position. Currently, Trudy is working on her MA Ed from the Jewish Theological Seminary. In her free time, you can find Trudy hosting Shabbat dinners, cooking multiple-course meals, reading, and walking her dog Leo with her fiance Marlee in the gorgeous Los Angeles weather.

Cindy Greenberg

President and CEO

Cindy (she/her) is the President and CEO of Repair the World, whose mission is to mobilize Jews and their communities to take action to pursue a just world, igniting a lifelong commitment to service. She was the founding executive director of Repair the World NYC, where she built a robust program focused on mobilizing the Jewish community to meet pressing local needs through service and learning in Central Brooklyn and Harlem. Previously, she worked for Hillel: The Foundation for Jewish Campus Life for fifteen years, including as the executive director of NYU’s Bronfman Center for Jewish Student Life. Cindy holds a masters degree in Non-Profit Management from NYU’s Wagner School and is the recipient of the Schusterman Fellowship, the Shirley Chisholm Women of Excellence Award, the Bed Stuy Campaign Against Hunger Harvest Heroes Award, and Hillel’s Richard M. Joel Exemplar of Excellence award. Cindy lives in Brooklyn with her husband, Dan, and their three children.

Hannah Grossman

Director, Field Activation, Education & Learning

Hannah Grossman is an experiential educator who believes in applying Jewish wisdom to drive change and build resilient communities. She is thrilled to work on the Field Activation team to help expand the Jewish service learning landscape after serving as Repair the World’s New York Program Director and Family and Youth Senior Program Manager.

Hannah has spent over 15 years in Jewish education in the U.S. and abroad, including in Mumbai as a JDC Entwine Fellow, and in Prague. She holds MAs in Jewish Education and Bible from the Jewish Theological Seminary, as well as BAs in Comparative Literature and Judaic and Near Eastern Studies from UMass Amherst, where she also earned a certificate in Coastal and Marine Sciences. Additionally, Hannah spent a transformative year at the Pardes Center for Jewish Educators.

In her free time you can find Hannah biking, painting, playing Frisbee, swimming laps, hiking and volunteering as an ESL tutor.

Lauren Halperin

Senior City Director, Bay Area

Lauren has a strong background in community organizing through her time with the Sunrise Movement, Urban Adamah, Moishe House, and Repair the World. She’s passionate about creating programs that help people connect deeply with their neighbors, their spirituality, and themselves. Her experience with Jewish education, urban farming, and mutual aid has shaped her commitment to making a real impact through collaborative service opportunities.

Haley Harper

Senior Director of Development

Haley Harper is the Senior Director, Development at Repair the World, where she supports the organization’s fundraising goals through strategic grant writing, donor stewardship, and system optimization. Haley has extensive experience in the nonprofit sector in fundraising and community engagement roles, supporting organizations in telling their story to donors and stakeholders to drive revenue. Service has been a core tenet of her journey; her experience as an AmeriCorps member engaging refugee youth compelled her to join the Peace Corps, where she taught English and created sustainable teaching resources for educators in Rwanda. These were foundational experiences that solidified a lifelong commitment to service and bridge-building. Haley holds a degree in English and History from the University of Arizona, and enjoys reading, running, and volunteering with her husband during her free time.

Ann Helfman

Data Manager

Ann is passionate about building systems that expand opportunity and advance equity. Her commitment to service began as an AmeriCorps Fellow at Citizen Schools in Boston. She then gained experience in college access and success first as a mentor and college counselor and later as a regional program director at Bottom Line and Let’s Get Ready, where she led college access programs serving underrepresented students. Ann went on to serve as Director of Operations for the College & Alumni Program at the Making Waves Education Foundation, and later as Senior Director of Continuous Improvement & College Access at New Tech Network, where she led continuous improvement initiatives to increase college enrollment for students of color and students experiencing poverty. At Repair the World, Ann serves as Data Manager, where she brings her commitment to equity and systems thinking to support organizational empowerment through Salesforce administration, data management, and supporting a data-driven culture. Ann earned an undergraduate degree in Government and Economics from Harvard College and an M.Ed. from Lesley University. She lives in Bozeman, Montana where she enjoys playing the oboe in a local community orchestra and exploring the mountains with her husband and son.

Hilai Hemmat

Accounting Associate

Prior to working with Repair, Hilai was a Staff Accountant of Quality Branded LLC, a restaurant group that owns 13 different restaurants in Manhattan, NY and Denver. Before that she worked with Robert Half as their permanent Accounting Consultant. On behalf of Robert Half, she advised companies in different industries needing help with financial analysis, accounts payables, accounts receivables, billing, invoicing, and various other accounting and financial duties. She is adaptable to a wide range of softwares.

Hilai earned her Bachelor’s of Science in Accounting from York College, City University of New York. She specialized in Internal Auditing. Hilai is originally from Chicago, Illinois but became a New Yorker from Queens at the age of 14. She currently lives with her husband in Flushing. They are enjoying their time as newly weds. In her free time Hilai enjoys swimming, baking, and art. As hobbies, she also loves reading books, and listening to audiobooks.

Jessica Herrmann

Director, Field Activation, JSA Operations

Jessica serves on the Field Activation Team, working closely with the Jewish Service Alliance. She is committed to empowering her generation to connect with Judaism through service, building meaningful partnerships across diverse communities, and creating transformative educational experiences. Jessica’s Judaism has always been kindled by the need to foster compassion and courage for social change.

Jessica previously served as the Director of Jewish Service Learning at Mem Global, Director of Experiential Education at Temple Shaaray Tefila in New York, and as a Team Leader at Repair the World in Philadelphia. She earned her Master’s degree in Experiential Education and Jewish Cultural Arts from George Washington University. Jessica lives in Philadelphia and can often be found hiking, cheering on women’s sports, or experimenting with homemade ice cream flavors.

Annie Herz

Senior Associate, Brand Ambassadors

Annie has grown with Repair through its service corps program, final fellowship iteration and now in her new on the Brand and Marketing team, driven by a passion for building bridges with neighbors across issue areas in pursuit of a better future. Annie now resides in Los Angeles but is a midwesterner to the core and comes from Chicago, where she worked in corporate and consumer public relations to elevate leadership voices, drive product launch coverage and authentically connect with target audiences. With 4+ years of experience in strategic communications and relationship building, she is excited to elevate Repair’s voice and efforts in partnership with brand ambassadors. Annie is committed to curiosity and community – she can often be found in museums, at local markets or on a hike with friends exploring the world!

Lou James

Senior Program Associate, Orange County

Lou is thrilled to be joining the Repair the World team to expand the mission of service in Orange County, CA. Service has always been the cornerstone of Lou’s work and life. From her early days as a hairdresser offering free haircuts to people in need, to creating service projects that bring holistic healing modalities into underserved spaces, Lou has always been drawn to work that uplifts and supports others.

Lou’s passion for service is deeply connected to her Jewish identity. She first connected to Judaism through liturgical music and ritual. Lou found that the more she leaned into her faith, the more meaningful her life became, and that meaning only deepened when it was passed forward through service to others. Since then, she has served the Jewish community as a Jewish educator, cantorial soloist, Tot Shabbat extraordinaire, and more! At the heart of everything Lou does is a desire to hold space for people exactly as they are, helping them navigate life’s existential challenges with greater clarity, connection, and lightness. She also believes deeply in the power of humor and will happily go to great lengths to make people laugh because she believes comedy makes the world feel safer and more joyful.

When she’s not working, because she is a happy homebody, Lou is most likely enjoying a cozy couch with a warm blanket, cuddling with her three perfect cats, watching a good show, tending to her indoor jungle of plants. She also enjoys strongman training and powerlifting, with a personal goal of one day becoming one the world’s strongest Jewish woman!

Allie Kashan

Associate, Service Corps Operations

Allie has always been a part of Jewish communal life and was first introduced to Repair’s work as a high schooler. This work was foundational as it taught her that being a Jewish nonprofit professional was a potential career path! After a few years at the Religious Action Center of Reform Judaism, she now is excited to join the team at Repair the World. She is passionate about social justice and loves to get involved in her community.

Allie has lived along the east coast and is currently living in Baltimore after a few years in Washington, DC. She is an avid traveler and is always on the move. When she isn’t working or traveling, you can find her painting, listening to an audiobook, tending to her plants, teaching herself how to sew, or enjoying time with loved ones.

Brandon Klein

Senior Program Associate, Detroit

Brandon is most passionate about the intersection between community and wellness. He is a Michigan native and has been teaching Jewish meditation in Metro Detroit and Detroit for ten years. He has spent time as a songleader at the University of Michigan Hillel and Camp Tamarack. He also served as the Program Manager for the Well and lived in the Detroit City Moishe House, where he curated out of the box and inclusive programming for young adults. Most recently, he worked in production for podcast networks and media companies based in Los Angeles and New York before moving back to Michigan.

Brandon received his Bachelor’s at the University of Michigan, Master’s in Clinical Psychology at Hofstra University, and is now pursuing a Master’s in Counseling at Oakland University. Brandon is always on the lookout for a quirky new spot in Detroit or Metro Detroit — especially coffee shops, restaurants, nature trails, and used bookstores. In his free time, he loves hosting gatherings and is writing his first book on meditation and philosophy.

Lauren Koenig

Senior Director of Data Strategy & Organizational Learning

Lauren is an enthusiastic, motivated and dependable analytics guru and community builder. As the Senior Director of Data Strategy & Organizational Learning, she focuses on driving and improving Salesforce use while promoting a strong data-informed culture. Lauren has certificates in Salesforce Administration, Practicing Positive, Purpose-Driven Leadership, Youth Mental Health First Aid and Google Project Management. Lauren is also a PJ Library connector for young Jewish families in the Chicago suburbs. Before joining Repair, Lauren worked in corporate financial healthcare analytics. Lauren received her Bachelors of Science in Microbiology and Masters of Public Health in Epidemiology from The Ohio State University where she was a proud member of Alpha Epsilon Phi and served on the Hillel Board (she still has a love of football). Lauren lives in Buffalo Grove, Illinois and enjoys spending time with family (including her husband, two daughters) and friends!

Mollie Kramer

Senior Program Associate, Chicago

Mollie is the Senior Program Associate in Chicago. Born and raised in the Chicagoland area, she is excited to foster community within the Chicago Jewish community and beyond, spreading loving-kindness through service. She started her career as an environmental advocate, working on both local and national issues fighting overconsumption. Mollie is a resident in Moishe House Wicker Park, and hosts events for Jewish young professionals in the west side of Chicago. She earned her BA in Political Science at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where she also served as president for Illini Hillel. When she is not working, she enjoys hiking, boxing, and spending time with friends. She also loves traveling and is always in search of a new adventure!

Meredith Levick

Meredith is a relationship-driven leader who channels Jewish values into experiences that deepen engagement and foster meaningful connection. Whether cultivating partnerships, guiding teams, or designing programs, she is committed to creating inclusive, high-impact initiatives that strengthen communities. Her career spans both the nonprofit and for-profit sectors, shaping an adaptable communication style and a flexible management approach suited to diverse teams and stakeholders. Meredith thrives in cross-cultural collaborations and enjoys bringing together varied perspectives and work styles to achieve shared goals. She has held roles with Hazon (now Adamah), the Office of Innovation, the Florence Melton School for Adult Jewish Learning, American Express, and Forbes, among others. Most recently, she worked as a consultant focused on developing impact-driven strategic partnerships, synthesizing complex work streams, and supporting projects that integrate thoughtful client relationships with effective project management.

Meredith holds a BA in English Literature and Spanish from Northwestern University and an MA in Experiential Jewish Education from the Jewish Theological Seminary. She also earned a graduate certificate in Israel Education from the iCenter. She lives in the Hudson Valley, north of New York City, with her family.

Melissa Levine

Senior Director, Field Activation, Strategic Initiatives

Melissa has been at Repair the World since 2021, growing Repair’s immersive service work and now building out a strategy for our field activation work. She was born and raised in South Florida and graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park where she formalized her passion for Jewish communal life and volunteering. Melissa has a career spanning various roles in Jewish nonprofits, including positions at the Foundation for Jewish Camp, Jewish Federation of Northern New Jersey, and Hillel International. Melissa is excited to build the Jewish community through the important Jewish service and learning work at Repair the World. Melissa currently lives in Cooper City, Florida with her husband and three children, Logan, Darcy, and Owen.

Goldi LieberPerson

Program Associate, Miami

Goldi LieberPerson is a recent graduate of the University of Florida, where she earned her B.A. in Political Science with a minor in Innovation. Passionate about Jewish learning, service, and community building, Goldi thrives at the intersection of education, leadership, and social impact. While at UF, Goldi served as a Resident Assistant in the dorms and as a Student Conduct Committee Member in the Office of the Dean of Students, cultivating inclusive, accountable spaces for her peers. She was deeply involved with UF Hillel, taking on multiple leadership roles, including serving as a 2023 Service Engagement Intern with Repair the World. Through these roles, she organized campus programs, mentored students, and helped foster meaningful conversations around service and Jewish identity.

Raised in Miami, Florida, Goldi brings a strong commitment to empowering others through relational engagement and a deep love for the South Florida Jewish community. She is excited to return home and contribute to Repair the World’s mission of mobilizing Jews for service and justice.

Hannah Margolis

Senior Program Associate, New York

Hannah is so excited to join the Repair the World team as a Senior Program Associate in New York! She is a passionate Jewish communal professional driven by helping people connect Jewish values with meaningful action. Before joining Repair the World, Hannah worked at the Jewish Community Relations Council of New York (JCRC-NY), where she supported community engagement, public affairs initiatives, and intergroup relations across New York City. Hannah’s commitment to engaging young people in Jewish life began through her work with Hillel. She previously worked at Hillel at the University of Georgia and Columbia/Barnard Hillel, where she found meaning in cultivating relationships and creating values-based experiences for students with a wide range of Jewish backgrounds.

Hannah earned her degree in Interdisciplinary Studies and Jewish Studies at Michigan State University (Go Green!) and grew up in New Jersey. She’s a lifelong Ramah-nik, having grown up at Camp Ramah in the Berkshires and returning on staff for several summers. Hannah is based on the Upper West Side and in her free time you can find her with her friends, going on a run through central park, or finding the best deli sandwich in NYC!

Dylan Cohen Morpurgo

Dylan Cohen Morpurgo is excited to join Repair the World as Interim Regional Director. He brings over a decade of experience in Jewish communal leadership, public service, and community engagement, including roles with the Pennsylvania State Legislature, Hillel International, the Anti-Defamation League, and the U.S. Department of State. With a deep commitment to public service and strengthening Jewish life, Dylan is passionate about the intersection of relationship building and civic engagement. He holds a Master’s degree in Holocaust & Genocide Studies from Yeshiva University and a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and History from Temple University. Originally from Philadelphia, Dylan has been lucky to call many places across the globe home. Dylan and his husband Ben currently split their time between the US and Brazil.

Dahiana Tavarez Nanda

Dahiana is an experienced accounting and finance professional with a demonstrated history of working in the nonprofit industry. She takes a tremendous amount of pride in serving the not for profit sector and helping colleagues. Dahiana graduated with a BBA in Accounting from Zicklin School of Business, Baruch College. Her most recent roles were Finance Director at American Arbitration Association and Accounting Supervisor at The Legal Aid Society.

Dahiana lives on Long Island with her husband and their two children. During her free time, she enjoys traveling to new places and learning about new things.

Sylvie Nelson

Sylvie is excited to be joining the Field Activation and Jewish Education teams at Repair the World. Sylvie brings a wealth of programming and systems experience to their role and are passionate about expanding accessibility within service. Prior to working at Repair, they acted as the Programs & Communications Coordinator at Lab/Shul. They are also an interdisciplinary artist and a Certified Sex Educator through Everyone Deserves Sex Education.

Kate O’Bannon

Chief Strategy Officer

Kate O’Bannon serves as Chief Strategy Officer at Repair the World, guiding strategy, development, communications, and organizational learning. Previously, she worked at Schusterman Family Philanthropies and began her career as a JDC Global Service Corps Fellow in Buenos Aires. Kate is a graduate of the University of Virginia and serves on the Board of the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee, on the National Review Committee for the Diller Teen Tikkun Olam Awards, and co-chairs the Tzedek Collective at Congregation Emanu-El. She received the JPRO Network Young Professional Award. Kate lives in San Francisco with her husband and children. She can usually be found sipping on green tea and loves to travel, cook (especially Asian dishes inspired by her Filipino heritage), read, and stay active.

Alekzandria Peugh

Senior Manager, Development Operations

Alekzandria (aka Alek) Peugh brings a wealth of experience in nonprofit operations, fundraising, and community engagement to their role as Development Operations Manager at Repair the World. With a background in arts administration, including her previous position as Executive Director of the Idaho Falls Symphony, Alek has a proven track record of driving organizational growth and operational efficiency. Her expertise in optimizing processes and building strong donor relationships positions them to enhance Repair the World’s development efforts. Since pivoting her career and focus from the arts, she has expanded her non-profit experience across organizations focused on community support, EdTech, LGBTQ+ support, animal welfare, and more. A new and passionate gardener, she loves to grow her own food and share produce with neighbors and is always willing to talk about baking, cooking, and animals, especially the seven (six cats and a dog) she shares with her partner.

Samantha Pride

Samantha graduated from Oregon State University with a B.A. in Sociology and B.A. in International Studies. Her passion for service – learning programs and volunteering started when she served as a City Year AmeriCorps Member in Philadelphia. She later graduated with a M.A. in International Development and Social Change from Clark University where she completed original research in Brazil on women’s political attitudes. Samantha returned to City Year in New York to work as a Grants and Compliance Manager for their portfolio of city and state funding. In her role, she is looking forward to supporting the growth of Repair the World through among other things, building people friendly systems. In her spare time, Samantha enjoys hiking, reading, traveling and spending time with her husband and family.

Rhea Quiñones

Rhea Quiñones brings 15+ years of experience in community engagement, program leadership, and equity-centered organizing to her role supporting Repair the World NYC during a key organizational transition. Through her consulting practice, REACH Consulting, Rhea helps mission-driven organizations lead through change, strengthen community partnerships, and design impactful programs. She is passionate about creating spaces where staff and community members alike feel seen, valued, and empowered to drive meaningful change.

Rhea’s work has spanned a wide range of causes and communities — from advancing climate justice and community resilience to strengthening literacy programs in NYC public schools to helping first-generation students access higher education. A former Community Engagement Director at Reading Partners NYC and a seasoned leadership coach, Rhea is especially skilled at building inclusive team cultures and fostering strong, trust-based relationships across diverse stakeholders. She is thrilled to support Repair the World NYC’s team and youth programming this summer, and to contribute to an organization whose values of service and community connection deeply resonate with her own.

Shannon Reider

Shannon brings a thoughtful, strategic approach to her work in the Jewish nonprofit sector. She spent over a decade working in high-need schools, building a foundation in equity, leadership, and community impact. Shannon holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Tulane University and a Master of Education in Teaching and Learning in Urban Schools from Vanderbilt University. She is excited to combine her commitment to Jewish values with her ability to steward resources responsibly, solve complex challenges, and support individuals and organizations in achieving long-term success. She is known for her collaborative and empathetic communication style, her strong work ethic, and her ability to build systems that enhance efficiency and accountability. Deeply committed to strengthening Jewish life and serving the community with integrity and care, Shannon is driven by work that creates meaningful and lasting impact. She is excited to engage future leaders in the community service landscape of Los Angeles!

Celena Ritchey

Senior Program Associate, Bay Area

Celena Ritchey is a midwesterner at heart and excited to continue her west coast adventures while joining Repair the World in the Bay Area. In 2018 she earned her Bachelor’s of Science in Environmental Policy from The Ohio State University (Go Bucks). Her experiences at Ohio State prompted her to do a summer of service with AmeriCorps VISTA following graduation, which then inspired her to serve with Repair the World in their Detroit community as a Fellow in 2018-19. Since completing the Fellowship program, she has worked in the non-profit field in both Program Management and Volunteer Coordination roles. Celena is presently a board member for Women’s Environmental Network (WEN), and enjoys volunteering in local community gardens. Andi Robik

Andi Robik (she/her) is an experienced financial analyst with more than 10 years of experience in the Jewish nonprofit world and 11 years in corporate finance. Prior to working at Repair, Andi was employed as the Budget Manager for the Union for Reform Judaism for over 8 years and had previously worked for Bristol-Myers Squibb in various analytical financial roles. Andi grew up in the Reform movement, spent a semester studying at Hebrew University in Jerusalem, and has held many leadership roles in her synagogue including VP of Finance and President. She is excited to combine her love of Judaism with her professional skills at Repair the World. Andi resides in NJ, is a mom of 3.5 (3 kids and a 15-year-old dachshund lovingly referred to as a “senior weiner”). In her spare time she enjoys running, skiing, road biking, and jigsaw / crossword puzzles. Andi can be found spending her vacation time on the beaches of Long Beach Island at the Jersey shore or the ski slopes in Vermont and Colorado.

Alison Rollman

Temporary Associate, People & Culture

Alison Rollman (she/her) is delighted to be working with Repair as a temporary People & Culture Associate. She first started her relationship with Repair as a Fellow in Brooklyn in the 2018-2019 cohort. She is currently a full time student pursuing her masters in social work, and has previously worked in operations at Avodah, as a yoga teacher, and with adults with disabilities. Alison lives in Brooklyn with her wife Tori and their crazy dog.

Will Schwartz

City Director, Boston

Will is thrilled to join Repair the World as the Boston City Director, bringing with him nearly 15 years of experience as a Boston area high school math teacher, teacher-leader, and union organizer. As a public school educator, Will centered equity in his classroom, working to empower students, especially those with disabilities, to see themselves as math learners. In his leadership roles, he helped develop and implement strategic plans for a variety of initiatives leveraging relationship building and shared meaning to navigate difficult conversations. Will also brings with him experience as a Jewish educator and leader. He teaches 6th and 7th grade Sunday School at Humanistic Congregation Kahal B’raira, where his students explore Jewish rituals and values through hands-on learning and collaborative text-based inquiry. Previously, he also served as finance chair of Kavod Boston, a lay-led community of young adults committed to vibrant Jewish ritual and transformative social justice organizing. Will is excited to make this part of his everyday work as he furthers Repair the World’s mission of integrating service work, justice, and Jewish learning. Will is a proud member of Temple Beth Zion in Brookline, where he sings with the Mehalelim for their Shabbat Nariya service. When not singing at TBZ, you’ll find him hosting Shabbat dinners with his partner, reading fantasy novels, or finding joy in the outdoors—from hiking in the White Mountains to biking along the Minuteman Trail.

Nevia Selmon

Senior Program Associate, Boston

Nevia Selmon is a Senior Associate at Repair the World in Boston, where she is excited to deepen relationships, build intentional partnerships, and engage young Jewish professionals in service-rooted community. She is passionate about creating spaces where Jewish life, learning, and service intersect.
Nevia brings a background in Jewish ethics, pluralism, and civic engagement to her work. She earned her Master of Theological Studies from Harvard Divinity School, concentrating in Jewish Studies, religious pluralism, and religion in public life. During her time at Harvard, she helped lead intra-Jewish and interfaith dialogue initiatives, organized service and learning programs across campuses, and supported community repair during moments of deep division.

Most recently, Nevia served as a Senior Associate at Cohesion Strategy, consulting for faith-based non-profits — supporting organizations working at the intersection of democracy, pluralism, and community resilience. In this role, she supported research, communications, and strategy projects for national partners, managed complex qualitative research, and helped shape narrative and partnership strategies for organizations engaged in bridging divides and strengthening civic life.

Previously, Nevia worked as a Research Assistant with Harvard’s Pluralism Project and as a Graduate Intern with the U.S. Department of Education’s Center for Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships, supporting policy and partnership work focused on inclusive civic engagement. She has also facilitated dialogue and learning for young professionals with Israel Policy Forum Atid and volunteered in multifaith service spaces across the Boston area.
Nevia is especially excited about Repair’s approach to pairing Torah with service and building alternative spaces where people can be in community while serving community. Outside of work, she enjoys finding local hikes, exploring quaint coffee shops, and discovering meaningful moments of connection.

Darielle Shandler

Manager, Operations

Raised in a small town in southern Virginia, Darielle Shandler graduated from Drew University with a BA in Theatre Arts and minors in Arts Administration and Jewish Studies, which included a semester abroad at Tel Aviv University. Following school, she pursued a career in stage management, which took her all over the world. She has seen theatre bring people together across beliefs, languages, and cultures.

During her time supporting North American programming at the Pardes Institute of Jewish Studies, she rediscovered her enthusiasm for Jewish education and learning for learning’s sake. She also found a passion for solving problems with smarter systems, which she has loved bringing to Repair the World. For the past decade, she has been based in New York City, exponentially growing her library with little consideration for the size of her tiny apartment. In her free time, when she isn’t seeing or creating theatre, you can find her reading, crocheting, or skimming articles on productivity systems.

Anyu Silverman

Senior Director of Bridge-Building

Anyu loves nothing more than the ‘aha’ of watching program participants connect across lines of difference. Anyu has spent her career supporting Jewish leaders of all ages gain capacity to engage in meaningful conversations about challenging issues. Most recently, she served as the Director of Antisemitism Education Programs at Anti-Defamation League (ADL), where she built and implemented strategy for their K-12 antisemitism education vertical and integrated dialogue skill building into core curricula. Prior to her time at ADL, Anyu worked at Schusterman Family Philanthropies on the Schusterman Fellowship team, supporting senior Jewish executives enhance their leadership skills through building and maintaining the curriculum, facilitating, and leading recruitment processes. Anyu has served as a dialogue trainer for higher education faculty, staff and students, as well as for Jewish and interfaith organizations.

She holds a MA in Ethics, Peace and Human Rights from American University and a BA in Religious Studies and Judaic Studies from the George Washington University. She lives in Denver where she enjoys hosting, reading, cooking and hiking.

Lauren Silverman

Lauren Silverman is from Long Island. She received her undergraduate degree from Franklin and Marshall College with a major in American Studies and a minor in Environmental Studies. She received her Masters in Jewish Professional Studies from Spertus Institute for Jewish Learning and Leadership. Lauren worked for Vanderbilt Hillel in Nashville, Tennessee before moving to Chicago in 2017. She worked for the Jewish United Fund/Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Chicago in the Young Leadership Division and the Jewish Federations of North America with the Jewish Changemakers Fellowship, where she focused on young adult engagement, programming, and leadership development. When she’s not working, she enjoys finding new coffee shops across Chicago, attending local Jewish programs, working out at Equinox, and planning her next trip.

Rebecca Steinman-DeGroot

Senior City Director, Detroit

Rebecca (she/her) is a Michigan native and is currently serving as the Director of Education for Dor Hadash, a supplementary Jewish education program of the Detroit Jewish Coalition, for youth and families in the city of Detroit. Rebecca recently moved to Detroit from Los Angeles, where she served as the Associate Director of Education for Limudim, the religious school at IKAR, a progressive spiritual Jewish community in LA. Rebecca has worked in education for over 17 years, as a teacher in the classroom, a tutor, an administrator, a mentor, and as a consultant. Rebecca is also currently in the second cohort of The Jewish Women of Color Resilience Circle and Transformational Leadership Fellowship through Dimensions Inc., a part of the Detroit iEngage Community Educators Cohort through the Shalom Hartman Institute, and is incredibly excited to be working at Repair the World Detroit to create intersectional, inclusive, diverse, and embracing community.

Sara Tasini

Sara’s commitment to service began in childhood, volunteering alongside her family and synagogue at a local soup kitchen. This early experience helped her internalize the Jewish value of Tikkun Olam and sparked a lifelong dedication to helping others. After earning her bachelor’s degree in Art History and French from Emory University, she moved to New York City, where a growing passion for social and economic justice led her to become a classroom teacher.

Over the next decade, Sara taught elementary school in New York, Denver, and Atlanta, always with a focus on advancing equity and empowering students. She now brings that same passion and purpose to her role as Senior Program Associate, where she is excited to apply her skills as an educator to facilitate meaningful programs and drive community impact.
Outside of work, Sara enjoys cooking, reading, spending time in nature, house projects, and making pottery. She lives in Atlanta with her husband, son, and cat.

Amy Weiss

Senior Director of Field Activation Strategy

Amy Weiss is the Senior Director of Field Activation Strategy at Repair the World, where she oversees Repair’s national expansion strategy and the Jewish Service Alliance. In this role, she works to strengthen the Jewish community’s commitment to service and expand opportunities for meaningful volunteer engagement across the country. Previously, Amy served as the Director of Jewish Communal Engagement and Learning at OLAM, where she worked to engage the North American Jewish community in global causes and equip Jewish leaders to become champions of global service. Over the course of her career, Amy has established herself as a leader in experiential Jewish education and service learning. During her nine years at Maryland Hillel, she became a national leader in immersive experiences and social justice initiatives—sending more than 1,000 participants on immersive service-learning trips and engaging hundreds of students in ongoing local service. Amy earned her B.A. from The George Washington University, studied at the Pardes Institute of Jewish Studies, and received a Graduate Certificate in Jewish Communal Service from the Baltimore Hebrew Institute at Towson University. In her free time, Amy can be found hosting Shabbat meals, reading, attending events around DC, or spending quality time with her husband and two daughters.

Jamie Weiss-Yagoda

Jamie Weiss-Yagoda is a nonprofit leader with over 15 years of experience advancing communications, community engagement, education, and outreach initiatives across global and local organizations. Most recently, she served as Senior Director of Community Outreach and Communications at Shames JCC on the Hudson, where she led marketing, programming, and partnership strategies to grow participation, membership, and impact. Previously, she held senior roles at the International Rescue Committee and the Council on Foreign Relations, shaping policy, advocacy, and education efforts that influenced global decision-makers and secured major philanthropic support. Jamie holds a Master’s degree from Teachers College, Columbia University, and a Bachelor’s degree from Wesleyan University.

Katie Wexler

Senior Director of People and Culture

Katie Wexler (she/her) joined Repair the World in June 2021. Prior to working with Repair, Katie was Hillel International’s Director of Human Resources, supporting the ~150 professionals working for the Schusterman International Center. Her career with Hillel began in 2003 creating programs for graduate students and young professionals in the DC-area. She then went on to multiple roles with the organization including working with Hillels in the Former Soviet Union and Latin America, managing Grants and Accreditation and ultimately landing in the Talent space where she found her passion for People & Culture work. Katie earned her SHRM-CP HR Certification through the Society for Human Resources Management in 2020 and is a graduate of the University of Colorado, Boulder. Katie lives in Kensington, Maryland with her husband and daughter. In her space time, Katie enjoys all things Broadway, baking and books (feel free to ask her for recommendations!).
