Join Repair the World Chicago and Base Logan Square on Tuesday, October 27th from 7:30-9:00PM at Base Logan Square for our monthly Logan Square Sack Suppers. We will be packing vegetarian sack meals for The Night Ministry to distribute on their Health Outreach Bus to those experiencing homelessness. Help us act on the value of kavod ha’bryiot, the preciousness of each human, as we support our local service partner in meeting the immediate needs of the unhoused community. Details and address provided the day before the program.

Join Repair the World Detroit for The Breakfast Club as we launch our monthly service program addressing food access and housing security. Each month, we gather to assemble cereal packs for The Pope Francis Center to share with unhoused community members in Detroit. A good breakfast is a simple thing, and for too many people in our city, it isn’t guaranteed. Jewish tradition calls this work tzedek, justice: making sure every person has what they need to live with dignity. When we show up together month after month, we build relationships with our partners, with each other, and with the city we call home. Come once or make it part of your monthly rhythm. Together, we take action in pursuit of a just world, one breakfast at a time.

Join us to help serve a warm, sit-down dinner at Wednesday Night Supper Club, a weekly community meal at 5 Park Street in downtown Boston, steps from the Park Street T. We’ll arrive at 5:30 to help set up, serve guests during dinner, and pitch in with cleanup, wrapping up around 7:00. No experience needed, just come ready to welcome people and share a meal with neighbors. This is a small group, so please RSVP by Tuesday Oct 27.

Kneading Kindness is a monthly womens shiur and challah bake benefiting a different local nonprofit each month. This month, we will be partnering with Chabad of Schunat Levintin.

For a long time, this area has been one of the villages prone to flooding during the rainy season and drought during the sunny season. This program will bring together community members and volunteers in Namabasa to plant trees and promote environmental conservation. Participants will learn how trees help prevent soil erosion, protect the environment, and build a healthier community. Through the Adopt-A-Tree idea, volunteers will take responsibility for watering, nurturing, and daily care of their assigned trees, monitoring their growth and survival.

We’ll be making toiletry kits for the women’s shelter at Dough on Vanderbilt in Prospect Heights in honor of domestic violence month this October and will be partnering with NYCFilipinos since it is Filipino American History Month. Come and make a toiletry kit and enjoy a sweet treat!
