Service brings us together to tackle society’s greatest challenges, build stronger communities, and be a force that transforms the world. Jewish tradition reminds us that a person is commanded to work toward justice, tzedek, by working to build a just, complete world. We serve alongside our communities in pursuit of a just society while seeking to create meaningful and lasting change. Join us.

Use your creativity to spread joy, create belonging, and support children in low-income or foster families. This ongoing opportunity allows you to give back from anywhere and is a great introduction to service for kids. Birthday cards should not have any names on them (no “to” or “from” [name]). The cards should read “happy birthday” on the outside and a positive message such as “have a great day” on the inside. It’s best to stick to these positive greetings. Gender neutral cards are encouraged. Be creative and use color generously! Flashcards can include the alphabet, numbers, shapes, colors, sight words, pictures, dominoes/dots, and more. Dual-language (Spanish and English) cards are a plus!

Volunteer on your own time! Sign up to receive a DIY toolkit in your registration confirmation email that will walk you through everything you need to know to participate. Vote Forward volunteers send heartfelt handwritten letters to unregistered and low-propensity voters encouraging them to participate in our democracy. Sign up, “adopt” a voter, write your letters, and commit to sticking them in the mail by the listed deadline. Help us track our impact! Have a friend who wants to participate? Instead of forwarding the toolkit, please invite them to register on our website.

This shift is co-sponsored by Higher Ground Initiative, T'ruah, and Colorado Jews for Climate Action. We'll ground ourselves in Jewish wisdom, go over the scripts we'll be using, then get to work calling voters. If you've already been trained by Dayenu or EVP, you can jump right into calling. If this is your first time phonebanking, no worries; we'll train you before you start calling. All you need to participate is a phone (landline or cell), web-enabled computer or tablet, and yourself.
