This Rosh Hashanah, connect to the agrarian roots of our high holidays by taking a break from the concrete as we return to Groundwork Somerville for their open volunteer hours. Come any time from 5-7p. Teshuvah starts with reflection, but it doesn't end there. It asks us to act. Our Jewish values call us to show up for the land and for our food insecure neighbors.

Repair the World Boston partners with Meor Boston for a National Day of Jewish Service gathering at Tifereth Raphael, a food pantry serving 150 low-income families with Orthodox and kosher needs. Participants start with brunch and text-based learning, then move into hands-on service, packing kosher snack kits for kids in these families. The morning pairs Torah study with tangible action, rooting the day's service in Jewish learning and community care.

Join us at Cultural Diversity Day at the Massachusetts State House where over 20 ethnic and cultural organizations will take part, including Turkish, Nepali, Greek, Bosnian, Israeli, and Filipino communities. Our table will represent Judaism through the lens of service, sharing how Jewish text and tradition ground Repair's service work and bridge building efforts. Part of Repair's Fall National Days of Jewish Service, a month of Jewish service and learning honoring 9/11, the High Holidays, and 10/7 through remembrance, resilience, and renewal.

Corps members will start the morning with brunch and learning at Congregation Kehillath Israel in Brookline, exploring Jewish environmental stewardship and what our tradition teaches about our relationship to the land. From there, the group will head to an orchard for an afternoon of apple picking alongside Yachad New England and other community partners. The day blends text study with hands on connection to the earth, bringing the Fall Service Corps cohort together with partners for a shared morning and afternoon of learning and service.

Yom Chesed (Day of Loving Kindness) is a community service event hosted by Yachad New England. It brings together members and volunteers of all abilities to complete hands-on tzedakah, chesed work, and volunteer projects supporting 12 local non-profit organizations in one location. Participants spent the afternoon engaging in a variety of charitable activities, including care activity packages for in-patient children, creating support gifts for women confronting breast and ovarian cancer, providing appreciation gifts for individuals who are transplant donors, and performing cheek swabs for medical donations.
