Join Repair the World Detroit at the Adamah Detroit Community Summit, the annual celebration of Jewish environmental education, leadership, and climate action. During the first hour, as the gathering opens with a strolling luncheon, we’ll lead a quick, hands-on service project that puts care for the earth into practice. The day continues with honoring Rabbi Nosanwisch and engaging opportunities for Earth-based Jewish learning and connection. Our tradition calls us to tend and protect the earth for the generations who come after us. Join Repair the World Detroit at The Collective’s Detroit Early Childhood Educators Conference, a day that brings together approximately 250 educators and leaders from Jewish early childhood programs across Metro Detroit to strengthen our practice, deepen our connections, and celebrate the work of supporting our community’s youngest learners. We’ll lead two interactive sessions grounded in SERVE, our framework for Jewish service learning best practices, with practical tools for bringing meaningful service into your classroom. Then we’ll put that learning into action through a hands-on micro service project supporting the Pope Francis Center, which serves Detroiters experiencing homelessness. Come learn, serve, and connect as we nurture the next generation in the pursuit of a just world.

Calling all Repair the World Detroit alumni! Whether you served as a fellow, in Peer Corps, in Service Corps, or on staff, we’re gathering to welcome Shabbat together. Join us for an evening of good friends, delicious food at a favorite Detroit Repair restaurant in Southwest Detroit, share favorite memories, and service. Catch up with the people you served alongside, meet alumni from other cohorts, and reconnect with the community that shaped so many of us. Our alumni are living proof that the pursuit of a just world doesn’t end when a program does. It becomes a lifelong commitment, and Shabbat is the perfect time to celebrate it. Come share a meal, roll up your sleeves, and remember what brought us together in the first place. We can’t wait to welcome you home.

Join Repair the World Detroit for The Breakfast Club on December 1, from 6-8 PM, our monthly service program addressing food access and housing security. Each month, we gather to assemble cereal packs for The Pope Francis Center to share with unhoused community members in Detroit. A good breakfast is a simple thing, and for too many people in our city, it isn’t guaranteed. Jewish tradition calls this work tzedek, justice: making sure every person has what they need to live with dignity. When we show up together month after month, we build relationships with our partners, with each other, and with the city we call home. Come once or make it part of your monthly rhythm. Together, we take action in pursuit of a just world, one breakfast at a time.
