Join Detroit Repair as we team up with Gesher Human Services for a morning of hands-on service. Together, we'll help beautify the homes of individuals living with mental health challenges — planting flowers, pulling weeds, laying mulch, and more. No experience needed and all are welcome. We'll gather between 9-9:30am at Gesher's Clubhouse for the Common Good for breakfast and orientation before heading out to homes across Southfield, Oak Park, West Bloomfield, and Farmington Hills. Please note that transportation to the homes is not provided, so plan accordingly. This is a meaningful opportunity to show up for our neighbors and take action in pursuit of a more just world. Wear comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes and come ready to get your hands dirty.

Join us and our partners NEXTGen Detroit Pride, Isaac Agree Downtown Synagogue, CSZ Village, and theCORe for Schmear the Love, a joyful Pride Brunch celebrating belonging, connection, and yes, carbs. Whether you're LGBTQIA+ or an ally, come ready to raise a mimosa, make new friends, and do some good. We'll have a hands-on service project to get into together, plus Detroit Dye House will be on hand to help you make a one-of-a-kind tie-dyed piece to take home. $36 per person includes a Kosher-style brunch, mimosa bar, and coffee bar. This event is designed for Jewish members of the LGBTQIA+ community ages 21–39. Allies are warmly welcome.
