Join Repair the World OC and JCC Cares the first Thursday of every month at the Merage JCC for Mitzvahs on Main, a monthly morning of hands-on service right on Main Street. Each month we take on a different project, from crafting care items to packing supplies for neighbors in need, and donate the items to local nonprofits. No experience needed, just show up ready to do some good.

Need a place to stay cool during this heatwave? Join Project Angel Food and Repair the World for a kitchen shift! During this volunteer session, you'll work alongside Project Angel Food's dedicated kitchen staff, helping to prepare medically-tailored meals with fresh, healthy ingredients. Every day, Project Angel Food prepares approximately 4,300 meals—meeting the nutritional needs of our clients who are fighting critical illnesses like cancer, HIV/AIDS, heart disease, and other serious conditions. Volunteers help with meal preparation, portioning, packaging, and quality control. This is meaningful, hands-on work that directly nourishes both the health and spirit of vulnerable people in our community. No culinary experience necessary.

BJ hosts weekly Respite Dinners every Thursday to build community with, and connect resources to, asylum-seeking families living in NYC shelters. The program serves 60-70 local asylum families each month, and relies on both English- and Spanish-speaking volunteers to run smoothly. Volunteer tasks may include setting up the room, washing dishes and cleaning the kitchen, serving food, playing with children, conversing with guests, helping practice English, or distributing donations. This session takes place on Thursday, September 3rd at 6:00 PM.

Join Repair, Base Boston, Eitz Chayim, and Moho Central at Temple Beth Shalom for a morning of shmoozing, learning, and Reverse Tashlich with other young adults. Reverse Tashlich flips the tradition on its head: instead of casting away, we take action to clean our waterways. Meet at 9:30 at TBS for coffee, snacks, shmoozing, and learning. At 10:00 we'll walk over together to a park on the Charles and arrive around 10:30 for the clean up. Come build community and welcome the High Holidays through meaningful service. TBS is hosting a minyan at 8:30 that all participants are invited to join. This event is part of Repair's Fall National Days of Jewish Service. Reverse Tashlich is an Initiative of Repair the Sea.
