Over drinks and light bites, we'll look at election protection through the Jewish value of tikkun olam, repairing the world, and think about voting as a civic and Jewish responsibility. You'll leave with a clearer picture of what election protection actually involves, and real ways to make a difference this election season. Join Repair the World Detroit and Adamah Detroit for a walk along Belle Isle on Friday, September 25, as we welcome the beauty of early fall and the arrival of Shabbat. We will gather with old friends and new community members, taking in the calming, restorative rhythm of nature together. The walk includes an opening circle, a closing circle, and a brief Jewish teaching connecting our time outside to Jewish values of rest, gratitude, and community. Wear comfortable shoes or boots, bring a full water bottle, and come with an open heart as we prepare to welcome in Shabbat.
