We will be packing vegetarian sack lunches for The Night Ministry to distribute on their Health Outreach Bus to those experiencing houselesnness. Act upon the value of kavod ha’bryiot, the preciousness of each human, as we support our local service partner in meeting the immediate needs of the unhoused community.

Join Rabbi Dimitry Ekshtut of Base Harlem and Project Harlem in partnership with Repair the World for a bi-monthly night of PB&J sandwich-making and Jewish wisdom - to nourish our neighbors with food (in partnership with the New York Common Pantry) and to nourish ourselves through community and shared Jewish learning.

Join us for our monthly cooking session with Base Hillel Lincoln Park! Together, we cook and serve a meal for the residents in transitional housing at Lincoln Park Community Services. Contact us to get involved!

Thi‍s m‍onth, join JUF Young Leadership Division and Tikkun Olam Volunteer Network for a group volunteer session with Share Our Spare. Volunteers will help quality check clothing, books, and toys as well as sort, and bundle donations.

Jewish Learning with Rabbi Yosef Shapiro, Shwarma, and connection for young professionals

Join Base Andersonville, Repair the World, Keshet, and Temple Sholom for some inspiring learning about queer voices in the Jewish tradition and what it means for us to have all been at Sinai! We will also be collecting food items for Brave Space Alliance (see below). Food and Cheesecake will be served! Bring non-perishable and ready-to-eat foods to donate to Care for Real! Please bring items that require no cooking or added water and require limited utensils for accessibility for those experiencing homelessness. Most wanted items include: fruit bars/dried fruit, protein bars, applesauce, nuts/seeds, crackers, granola bars, cereal, chips, fruit snacks, ready made soup, and fruit or pudding cups that don't require refrigeration.
