Enjoy Shabbat with your community. Family & friends are invited to our PJ Library Tot Shabbat. We are commemorating October 7th by doing good deeds and giving back to the community. On the list of our Shabbat projects is raising money to buy toys and games for children and teens in hospitals in Israel. We are also making food bags for local homeless students in Long Beach.

Join Repair the World for the launch of our new series exploring social justice issues in Israel through Jewish learning, conversation, and community. We’ll kick off with a Shabbat dinner honoring two Jewish political bridge-builders, one American and one Israeli: civil rights activist Rabbi Arthur Waskow and former Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin, whose yahrzeits fall on October 23. Learn about their lives, legacies, and visions for a more just and peaceful world; meet our new shlichim (Israeli emissaries), Leshem and Bar; and enjoy a delicious Shabbat meal together!

In partnership with MEOR, we'll gather for brunch, Jewish learning, and a chance to support Family Table's essential work. Together, we'll pack and deliver kosher food boxes to seniors, including Holocaust survivors, in Allston, Brighton, and Brookline. Our tradition calls us to act on both food insecurity and senior isolation, and for many of the people we visit, a delivery means a full fridge and a friendly face at the door. Logistics: In addition to signing up with MEOR you must register with JF&CS by October 9. You'll find further instructions on MEOR's sign-up page. If you have a car, we need drivers!

Join Repair the World, Shemesh Farms, and JFedLA for a beach clean up right after Sharsheret's 5th Annual West Coast Dash, where hundreds of thrivers, caregivers, and supporters will be gathering. Parking at West Coast Dash: Parking is $13 per car When you arrive: Please let the parking attendant know that you are with the event. The line to pay and park will get backed up so please arrive early.

The Heavenly Home in Mission Viejo is Orange County's only residential end-of-life care facility, a place where people spend their final weeks surrounded by dignity, warmth, and compassionate care. This is our opportunity to show up for our neighbors in one of the most sacred expressions of Chesed (loving kindness). Join Repair the World Orange County for an afternoon of service as we bring comfort, creativity, and community to the residents of The Heavenly Home. Together we'll bake homemade treats, arrange fresh flower bouquets, create personalized decorated photo frames as lasting keepsakes, and close the afternoon with a sound bath.
