Join Repair the World and our community partners in Brower Park for our annual Juneteenth celebration — a free, joyful day of music, food, and community in Brooklyn. We're recruiting volunteers to help set up the event and distribute food to neighbors throughout the day. It's a meaningful way to show up for our community, mark a holiday rooted in liberation, and connect Jewish service to the work of building a more just world alongside our Brooklyn neighbors. This celebration is presented in partnership with Friends of Brower Park, Brooklyn Conservatory of Music, Brooklyn Public Library – Brower Park Library, the Crown Heights North Association, and Council Member Chi Ossé. Free and open to all.

Join Repair the World for service and learning in support of JQ International's Pride Shabbat! Miracle Mile / Mid City area location provided following registration. JQ's annual Pride Shabbat returns to Pico-Roberson for an evening of food, ritual, and powerful conversation. Featuring Dr. Sara Glass, author of Kissing Girls on Shabbat, and Lani Santo, CEO of Footsteps, discussing LGBTQ+ identity, chosen family, and building a self-determined life after leaving ultra-Orthodoxy.

America turns 250 this year. That's worth showing up for — and so are the people who showed up for America. Join us at the American Legion Banquet Hall in Culver City as we gather alongside veterans and their families for an afternoon of patriotic bingo, laughter, and connection. We'll decorate the hall together, play rounds of bingo in their honor, and leave the space just as we found it — because showing up means seeing it all the way through. This is what service looks like: neighbors sitting side by side, sharing a game, expressing gratitude. People choosing to be present with one another. Bring your energy and your B-I-N-G-O game-we'll take care of the rest.

On Together Tuesday, we're bringing people together for a happy hour with a purpose: packing hygiene kits for CHI-CARE, a Chicago organization supporting unhoused neighbors. Together Tuesday is a GivingTuesday activation that invites communities across the country to make generosity visible through simple, local acts of care. Grab a drink, pack some kits, and be part of what it looks like when we show up for our neighbors.

Roll up your sleeves and get your hands dirty as we join Moishe House Somerville to serve with Groundwork Somerville at their community-based urban farm. We'll weed the pollinator garden and plant native species that support local pollinators. Through the lens of Jewish values, we'll explore what it means to tend the land as an act of service and to show up for our neighbors facing food insecurity.

Join Repair the World at University Synagogue on Tuesday, June 23 from 5:00–6:30 PM for an evening of hands-on service for neighbors right here in Orange County. We'll be tying fleece blankets for WISEPlace, making t-shirt tote bags for Collective Aid OC, and packing sandwiches for Someone Cares OC — three projects, one night, all for OC neighbors in need.Connect with your community, engage in hands-on service rooted in Jewish values, and discover what it really means to show up for our neighbors in need.
