 This month we’re supporting Big Sunday’s canned food drive to help LA’s immigrant community affected by recent ICE raids. Jewish tradition calls us to care for the stranger among us (Leviticus 19:34), and now more than ever, our neighbors need us. Many undocumented families are afraid to shop for groceries—so we’re stepping in. Please bring non-perishable, unexpired food to class and help bring dignity and support to those in need.

Join the Young Adult community in Chicago for a fun-filled weekend! We'll be coming together for a variety of Shabbat events. We will begin the weekend with a pre-Shabbat happy hour and continue through Havdalah on Saturday night. Repair the World will be leading a hands-on service program on Saturday starting at 2:30pm.

Together, let’s honor Holocaust survivors. As we mark the 80th anniversary of liberation from many concentration camps, L’Dough V’Dough invites you to braid and bake challah, actively fulfilling the commandment of L’Dor V’Dor (from generation to generation). While kneading the dough, you will reflect on the importance of passing stories from one generation to the next. As your challah bakes, you will be joined by a survivor, child of survivors, or grandchild of survivors who will share their own or their family's story of survival and perseverance. Together, let’s help kids who need it. Volunteers will prepare a meal filled with love, pack snack bags, and assist with site cleanup at a residential facility serving families with critically ill young people who are receiving care at Children's Hospital. The mid-level of Marcus Garvey Park is a beautiful space that often goes overlooked. It’s overgrown, littered, and in need of love. With your help, we’ll restore and refresh it—just in time for several community events taking place that evening! We are so grateful for your commitment to service and community connection. This month, join JUF Young Leadership Division and Tikkun Olam Volunteer Network for a family volunteer session with the Chicago Park District at their Community Roots Community Garden. All volunteers and their families will learn about the local gardens with activities including trash pick-up, garden maintenance like weeding, planting, watering, and some additional special projects. We welcome and encourage our volunteers to bring their children!
