Elul invites us to reflect, return, and prepare for the year ahead. This four-part series weaves together embodied mindfulness practice and direct service — creating space to arrive at the High Holidays feeling grounded and connected. Each gathering includes a mindfulness-based practice (e.g., meditation, improv, yoga, art), hands-on service and/or learning with a local service partner, and dinner together. Come to one session or all four (there is an opportunity to indicate later in the registration form which sessions you will be attending). Wherever you are in your preparation, there's a place for you here. Vegetarian dinner will served at all four sessions. This program is available to young adults ages 18-39.

Volunteer with The Lunch Club and join JCCSF and Repair the World Bay Area at our monthly program to make lunch bags on Tuesday, August 11th 6:30pm - 8:30pm in San Francisco, with special guest Celena's Mom Lisa! This volunteer program is designed for young adults in their 20s and 30s who want to make a meaningful impact in the community. Together we'll make 200 sandwiches and pack them into lunch bags for shelter residents of St. Vincent de Paul Society of San Francisco, and we need your help to make it happen 🥪 RSVP to confirm you're attending, and get event reminders, we'll also be providing pizza for volunteers during the program, thanks so much 🤗

Bring school supplies for our school supply drive and write cards for students beginning the school year with Blessings in a Backpack.

Celebrate the spirit of Jewish community at Shabbat in the Park on Friday, August 14th, in the Valley, co-hosted by synagogues and partner organizations from across the region. Bring a picnic blanket and join us for live music, meaningful connection, a warm welcome to Shabbat, and activities for every age! Stop by Repair the World and Shemesh Farms booth to show some love to our planet, making seed bombs that help flowers bloom and pollinators thrive. Together, let's spread the sunshine—one seed bomb at a time!

Join PeerCorps Detroit for a week of transformational service experiences! Live our Jewish value of Tikkun Olam, repairing the world, by volunteering with local organizations and learning about important issues impacting our community, like hunger, housing insecurity, and environmental sustainability. PeerCorps Camp participants will also have the opportunity to participate in camp activities like swimming, games, and so much more! At the end of each week, each teen will receive a certificate for service hours worked.
