Nourishing Neighbors: A Night of Service and Learning in Boston
Repair the World President and CEO Cindy Greenberg joined a group of Boston stakeholders and volunteers for an evening of impactful service and learning.
During the event, Boston changemakers packed soup kits to be distributed by Brookline Pantry, a local service partner. Repair the World’s Boston team is honored to work alongside local partners to facilitate service opportunities at a key moment, when 1 in 3 Massachusetts adults are experiencing food insecurity. As participants packed nutritious kits with care for their neighbors, they embodied the Jewish value of strengthening each other, hitchazkut, and engaged in meaningful discussions on the growing Jewish service movement.
Ongoing service programs such as this one are sustained by local stakeholders. “We are grateful to the stakeholders, participants and service partners that support our work,” shared Jared Rosenbloom, Regional Development Director at Repair the World. “By investing in service, we’re investing in the neighborhoods where we live, building community and strengthening each other through our shared Jewish values in action.” With stakeholder support, Repair the World is able to provide an invitation to engage in meaningful learning and critical service.
