Elul invites us to reflect, return, and prepare for the year ahead. This four-part series weaves together embodied mindfulness practice and direct service — creating space to arrive at the High Holidays feeling grounded and connected. Each gathering includes a mindfulness-based practice (e.g., meditation, improv, yoga, art), hands-on service and/or learning with a local service partner, and dinner together. Come to one session or all four (there is an opportunity to indicate later in the registration form which sessions you will be attending). Wherever you are in your preparation, there's a place for you here. Vegetarian dinner will served at all four sessions. This program is available to young adults ages 18-39.

What is it about water that captivates us? Join us for an interactive virtual exploration of the ocean's spiritual essence through Jewish text, reflection, and tradition, just days before our reverse tashlich beach clean up. We'll dig into Jewish text and discussion together, grounding our upcoming clean up in Jewish learning and exploring why we return trash to the shore instead of leaving it in the water. Come with an open mind and leave ready to carry that reflection onto the sand. No boat required, just curiosity and a love of Jewish learning.

The Lunch Club brings good Jewish community together on the first Thursday of every month for a kosher-style dinner, good conversation, and hands-on service. We spend the evening making sandwiches, which Sandwiches From the Heart delivers to local shelters and food banks around Orange County.

Join Repair and the Miami Jewish community as we care for our world by cleaning up Virginia Key Beach. Reverse Tashlich turns a spiritual ritual into hands-on environmental action — as we symbolically cast off what no longer serves us, we also remove real plastic pollution from our waterways, protecting marine life and local ecosystems. Guided by the Jewish value of shmirat ha'adamah (protecting the earth), we'll mobilize together through Jewish environmental education and stewardship, meeting a pressing need while building community and connection. This is Jewish service in action — joyful, grounded, and in pursuit of a more just, sustainable world.

Start the new year by doing good with Emanu-El and Repair the World! On Rosh Hashanah, we cast our regrets into the water with Tashlich. At Reverse Tashlich, we flip 🔄 the ritual: instead of tossing breadcrumbs in, we'll get trash out, cleaning up our shoreline and starting 5787 🎉 with our hands in the work of repair.
