Join Isaac Agree Downtown Synagogue and Repair the World Detroit for an virtual evening of orientation ahead of the IADS Block Party, grounded in Jewish values and learning around community building. We will walk through what to expect on the day, talk through roles, and spend time in text study that connects the work ahead to our tradition of gathering and caring for one another. This is a chance to meet fellow volunteers, ask questions, and get ready to show up for our community members with confidence.

We will gather at the Sarah's Circle Interim Housing Center to cook dinner for their clients!

Join Jewish Women of LA and Repair the World for our next volunteer event! Spend time with residents at a Jewish retirement home as we decorate flower pots and plant succulents together. Join Repair the World Chicago and Base Logan Square on Tuesday, August 25th from 7:30-9:00PM at Base Logan Square for our monthly Logan Square Sack Suppers. We will be packing vegetarian sack meals for The Night Ministry to distribute on their Health Outreach Bus to those experiencing homelessness. Help us act on the value of kavod ha’bryiot, the preciousness of each human, as we support our local service partner in meeting the immediate needs of the unhoused community. Elul invites us to reflect, return, and prepare for the year ahead. This four-part series weaves together embodied mindfulness practice and direct service — creating space to arrive at the High Holidays feeling grounded and connected. Each gathering includes a mindfulness-based practice (e.g., meditation, improv, yoga, art), hands-on service and/or learning with a local service partner, and dinner together. Come to one session or all four (there is an opportunity to indicate later in the registration form which sessions you will be attending). Wherever you are in your preparation, there's a place for you here. Vegetarian dinner will served at all four sessions. This program is available to young adults ages 18-39.

Join us for Shower in the City, a Health & Community Resource Fair bringing free showers, health resources, and connection to our Crown Heights neighbors. We need volunteers on Wednesday, August 26th from 11:30 AM to 3:30 PM at 1119 Eastern Parkway (right by the 3/4 train) to help set up tables, chairs, and tents, and to help distribute food to vendors. Prefer a later shift? We also need hands to break down and stack tables and chairs for pickup at the end of the day. However you can show up, you'll be helping meet a pressing need through service and building community alongside our neighbors.
