A rural Vermont native, Daniel’s early experiences with his local 4-H club inspired his lifelong commitment to helping others and affecting positive change. Combining this with his passion for soccer, he has worked for decades to build community and support youth development as both a coach and a Program Coordinator. In addition to serving as PTO Vice President at his children’s school and supporting a nearby community garden, Daniel has volunteered for years at his local JCC. A summer serving as the JCC’s Interim Assistant Camp Director helped him find his purpose in the non-profit sector and led him to ‘Repair the World.’

Daniel graduated with an English / Communications degree from Guilford College, where he was a 2-year captain of his soccer team, served on the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, and worked both as a Tour Guide for the Admissions department and a Supervisor for the IT department. He then spent years writing, developing websites, and performing tech support as a freelancer, during which time he joined Starbucks as a part-time barista for their benefits. Although it was intended to be temporary, he embraced the company’s commitment to developing people and serving communities and made it a career. Progressing into a Manager Trainer role and winning numerous awards, he grew with the company and spent seven years developing teams, training leaders, and managing operations.

Daniel married his college sweetheart, Jordan, and settled in her hometown of Boulder, CO. Nearly 20 years later, they now have three children and still play soccer together.
